has taken black and white photos for a long time, using the medium to
try to capture the character of the subject whether a person or a
landscape.
Daphne is well-known in the area
for her ceramics and print-making. We have a series of her delightful,
light-hearted etchings of landscapes, interiors and cats, as well as
endearingly risqué prints like this one.
Sue Rowe is a local artist who
paints evocative watercolours of seaside subjects. She worked as a textile
designer before turning to painting.
Jane has worked at the
Whitechapel Art Gallery, the Serpentine Gallery and Terence Conran Ltd.
Her work celebrates the unique and the idiosyncratic and the
transformative effects of observing and interpreting Nature.
Colette has been a member of the
Bristol Printmakers' Workshop and later set up a workshop in the Bristol
Craft and Design Centre. The
prints are etched on steel and coloured by hand after printing. The
natural world provides the main source of inspiration.
